Training Philosophy

Keep Athletes on the Field

My primary goal is to build athletes up, so they do not break down. Sound training should decrease the risk of injury while transferring over to sport

Assess and Address

Movement patterns, programming, and training should constantly be assessed to see if an athlete is improving in various areas.

Move Well

Athletes must be efficient and proficient in movement through a full range of motion. Positions and posture will dictate load and intensity. Stability, mobility, and flexibility will be addressed for each athlete.

Foundational Strength

Athletes will train with free weight, ground based movements and train in all 3 planes. Strength and Rate of Force Development will always be emphasized.

Train to be Fast

Correct mechanics of speed, acceleration, agility, and plyometrics must be taught and coached well to increase power and explosiveness.

Durable Work Capacity

Proper energy systems development is essential to meet the demands of the sport as well as enhancing recovery.

Lifestyle must match Training

Education and teaching of adequate nutrition, recovery, and lifestyle habits will help build a resilient athlete.

Coaching Philosophy

Personal Development

Take a global approach to training and develop the athlete to help prepare them for life.

The foundations I build with my athletes are:

Respect

Self-Discipline

Work Ethic

Accountability

Trusting Relationships

Inspire athletes in a way where they want to strive for greatness and believe in the process of training. Building a positive athlete/coach rapport is essential.
